AFAIK they are the same pin out, I can check later today.
I have the RS232 Fanuc manual for the 0 and 10/11if you care to send a PM with email add.

Hello all,
I have 2 hopefully easy questions on my 11m machine.
First - does anyone have the pinout diagram for the rs232 port (CD4) on the main board (a16b 1010 0050) and a pinout of the rs232 port (CDI) on the graphics board (a20b 1000 0802)? Are they the same?
Second - is there any documentation on how the keep relays tie back to the IO lines? IE keep relay 1 goes to x1.1 and so on.
Thanks,
Cj

Al_The_Man is right. (Hi Al)
The 20-pin Honda connectors used on the Fanuc 10/11/12/15 and some later controls all had the same pin assignments.
20-pin Honda ------------------------------- DB25-pin (on the outside of the cabinet)
Pin 5 (ER) -------------------------------------- Pin 20 (DTR) Data Terminal Ready - output that Fanuc turns HIGH when it opens the port
Pin 8 (RD) -------------------------------------- Pin 3 (RX) Receive Data - input for serial data received from other device
Pin 9 (SD) -------------------------------------- Pin 2 (TX) Transmit Data - output for serial data sent from Fanuc to other device
Pin 16 (CD) ------------------------------------ Pin 8 (DCD) Data Carrier Detect - input from other device. used by MODEMS to detect phone carrier signal.
Pin 17 (SG) ------------------------------------ Pin 7 (SG) Signal Ground - ground reference for all signals
Pin 18 (DR) ------------------------------------ Pin 6 (DSR) Data Set Ready - input to Fanuc indicating that the other device is ready
Pin 19 (CS) ------------------------------------ Pin 5 (CTS) Clear to Send - input to Fanuc that MUST be high for the Fanuc to transmit (hardware handshake)
Pin 20 (RS) ------------------------------------ Pin 4 (RTS Request to Send - output that Fanuc turns high when it opens the port

Hi again Al,
I've been pretty busy lately. I've written a totally new DNC system (PC-DNC Pro) and I've also become a single-dad with a 12-year old son, who occupies about 120% of my available time.
I'll try to get back into the grove, but it wont' be easy (time-wise, that is).
Dan
Al, Dan,
Thanks for the help. Just wanted to double check on the serial port... didn't want to fry anything. I have figured out the keep relay issue too. There are 2 other contacts in parallel with the -LY2 contact. When I switched the ladder display over to "Adress" (you have to love the Fanuc spelling) I found that the YLS-2 signal has the address of K00.4 - so I found the keep relay... somehow it was cleared in the power bump. I'll play with resetting it later this week.
Charles
Good to see you back, Dan.
In spite of what Al says, there is plenty of help with posts! lol.
