| Yep. Parameter 003, bit #2 (the third bit from the right) needs to be a "1". On the main PCB, there is a toggle switched labeled "Parameter Write Enable". Turn it on, and you will get an alarm #100. Then put the CNC into MDI mode, press the PARAM key, and cursur up to parameter 003. Press the letter "P", then input all the 1s and 0s of parameter 003, keeping the bits that are 1 now, and adding a 1 to bit #2 (the third bit from the right). Then, press INPUT, turn off the parameter toggle switch, then press RESET to clear the alarm. Note that some controls don't have the EPROM chips for this option. If that's the case, then you won't be able to enter a "1" in the helical option position. |

| There are two groups of "canned cycles". One is called "Canned cycles A" and the other is "Canned cycles B". I'm pretty sure that the G80 series cycles are in the "A" option and the G70 series cycles are in the "B" option. Canned cycles A is parameter 004, bit #3 (the 4th bit from the right) Canned cycles B is parameter 004, bit #2 (the 3rd bit from the right) |
