    look ahead on oi-mc

Can anyone tell me the practical differences between using g5.1 q1 L_, and using g8 p1? Can I use both at the same time? If not, is there a time when one works better than the other?

    Spock,

If you use G8P1, you will use the standard look ahead of the machine. If you use G05.1Q1 you will use an look ahead that has 20 blocks and 8 ms time of processing each segment.
