I am relatively new to CNC machining. I am working on building a CNC Plasma Cutter and have a Fanuc 0iA Controller. The software that I am using to write GCode has a post-processor designed for Fanuc 0iM. I've never written a post-processor before, so I am wondering about the changes (if any) that will have to be made to that post-processor in order to produce GCode that is compatible with the 0iA. What determines those changes, meaning what should I be looking for in the 0iA & 0iM manuals to resolve my issue. I'd appreciate any input. Regards! |

I guess I just figured out the answer to my own question. I found out that the 0iM is just a representation for the 0i's...which includes the 0iA. That 0iM notation was just used to indicate that the post-processor is compatible with that family of controllers. So...now that I figured it out, it sounds too obvious! well, it's one of those days... |
