The last version is 7.3
Hi guys,
I'm having a problem opening a .LAD file that was extracted from a 32i Model B control. Fanuc Ladder III v5.7 keep saying PMC type is not supported.
The machine is a Eurotech 735sl Y that was built approx. around 2012. I saved the back to a USB drive from the control and named it 1000.LAD.
Any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Call Fanuc it is only $21.00 to upgrade
Update: So I have updated to the newest Ladder 3 and can successfully import the backup from the memory card, but it is asking me for a password that I do not know. Hmmmmmm, what to do now. Not sure if I should contact the MTB to see if they will give me the password or if it is a fanuc thing.
it is a MTB password,Fanuc will not give it to you
you can view it on machine but can not edit it.
on the machine you will need also a password to open it
Yes, there are two, one for ladder troubleshooting and on for editing. Good luck.
Still needs help?

hi guys, I have downloaded ladder file from machine (fanuc 16m) to my laptop via RS232 serial link to a NC file using CIMCO editor. Now I have Fancu ladder III and in that program I need to have .lad file, I have tried renaming .NC to .LAD and tried opening it in Ladder III but no luck, I have also tried TOOL-Data conversion and selecting NC file and convert it to LAD file there, no luck too, says "PROGRAM NAME ERROR".
What to do with this NC file from machine in which LADDER have been downloaded to read them in FANUC LADDER III?
Thanks in advance
If you attach the file I can tell you. You can try to create a dummy ladder using the same PMC type. You will have to have END1 and END2 in your dummy ladder. Them complile it. Now goto File and IMPORT your file as a Handy File
It is a Handy File. You can open it with Wordpad and delete the first bit of garbage. You need everything : and beyound. (&FWLAD)<---delete :S004000000FB
Also it said that it has a password, do you by chance have the password? Also what is the PMC type?
do you mean nc file should start like this:
S22428000000040000000000005AA500000000000000000000 000000000007000000000000A9

or like this:
:S004000000FB
S22428000000040000000000005AA500000000000000000000 000000000007000000000000A9

?
I tried both versions, no luck.
Where do you see it is password protected?
I don't know password, where to find it?
What is PMC type, is it type of machine, if yes it is Stama Robodrill Alpha T10B with Fanuc 16-M on it.
The mainboard designation number is A16B-3200-0010 and manual for that is here:

edit:
Seems like that control is PMC type SB3 according to fanuc ladder 3 manual. Is that correct?

The bottom one is correct. In Fladder you goto File then select Import then select Handy File. The password box pops up at that point. You have a 16MB controller. SB3 is an option for the 16. If you can post the parameter backup file I can know for sure which PMC type you have. Do you have an SRAM PCMCIA card? If you can get the ladder out that way which will work with Fanuc Ladder III as well. Fanuc has the password and will not release it to you. There are two passwords, one for viewing which they will share and one for writing which they won't.
Yeah, you're correct, I've found out about this getpass.exe program which should crack the password and tried using it like it is said in this post:
https://www.cnczone.com/forums/fanuc...ml#post2182010
but no luck.
Here's what I get from doing that.
P.S: here are the parameters from that machine in the attachment. Unfortunately I don't have SRAM card. I downloaded all of it using RS232 and a laptop+cimco.
