Good Day, Any help is appreciated......I have a Kiwa Mill with a Fanuc 10m control. The entire parameter settings had to be restored recently and everything works fine except the G76 Fine Boring Cycle. It will feed down, do the oriented spindle stop, and at that point it should retract in the X- direction via a Q command in the part program. This is set to work in this manner from paramater settings at 6200 and 6240. Parameter 6240 selects the direction. The retract at the bottom of the bore will only move in the X positive, and it used to move in the - because all of the part programs are programmed that way. Again any help is appreciated!! | It should be settable by those two parameters, do you have #2 set right in 6200? (xxxxx?xx). Al.

| Hello, Thanks for the reply. I have parameter 6200 all bits to 0. From what I gathered from the Fanuc book, bit #2 must be set to zero so the tool retract can be specified by a "Q" in the part program. That is working, but what are the correct values for X Y and Z in parameter 6240? The book does not specify. Currently I have X set to -2, Y is set to 1 and Z is set to 1. I have tried to change the sign on the X and it will not retract at all. Is there a correct setting for 6240?? Thanks. Trevor Gorrell |

| I know on other version controls, the parameter for G76 "Q" has two bits to set for direction. The different combination of these bits will tell the machine to move X "- or +", or Y "- or +". But if you parameter book doesn't show the different settings.......hmmmm.... someone should know the 10 model.... Al ??
