"18iMB control" whether M or T does not matter. You can NOT view the options; if you want an option enabled, you have to contact the machine tool builder and Fanuc will send you an encrypted file with only the options enabled that they have a record of as been paid for; of course you will also be charged for the new option you requested.

PRM 6071-6089 will tell you if M6 is calling a macro program. If any of these have numbers in them the corresponding M-code calls a 9000 series program.(9001 thru 9029)

You can view options, they are just under Diagnostics as 1100+, can't change them, just view.

Any control needing the special option file will have options viewable in the DGN. Not sure if the option list is secret or not though.

Sometime after Fanuc was producing 16/18iB they changed how the options were handled. True they are displayed in Diagnostic but if you don't have the document that tells you what they are you have no idea what you are looking at. And NO Fanuc won't disclose what they are.

Ok. We are hoping to avoid that, but we just might have to.
