Angry will not up or download from controller

Good day all

1) we have a kingston lathe cnc with a 20-T control. the X axis belt went the way of the dodo bird and was replaced. our tech went thru a series of checks to see why there was no repeatabiliy. we copied and existing prmg in the controller to do some tests and it gave this copied prgm a #. it came up O0000 .( not the number I picked) I can not for the life of me delete this prgm. tried ever way in the book. when i look at this prgm in the edit mode, the prgm # is as follows, O0000 N; . since this prgm number, i can not upload or download prgms to and from the controller. does anybody out there have an idea as to what the heck happened?
2) There is a card slot on the main board and i need / would like to back up the ladder and such as another tech told me another way to delete this prgm
that may wipe out everything in the controller. does anybody out there know how save to a compact flash card the contents of the controller. Thanks in advance. go have a coffee after reading this, pretty long.

then type in O01 and hit delet if it wont change then try O0 delete
let me know if that helps

so you cant do anything change programs, edit program that is currently in there. Go back to the pc and look at the program you up loaded see if there are any extra characters or any missing ones, i had the same thing happen on my haas but never on one of my fanucs

Buy me a Beer?

It sounds like you have the memory lock key switch on.

the O0000 prgm was the result of copying a current prgm and the tech's "sexy fingers" when doing the copying process. i figured out my other challenge, brackets where required. training a new guy and he removed a bracket without having me check it out first. 1 problem down, one more to go
