Look for a toggle switch marked "ABS". This means "Manual Absolute", and if the switch is on, you can jog and the "Absolute" position display will change. With the switch off, the display will not change. With ABS turned off, when you manually move any axis, you are really SHIFTING your absolute coordinate system. With ABS turned on, you can jog all you like, but the machine will go right back to the old coordinate system when you resume your program. |

You hit it on the head... I was talking to Fanuc when you posted. They suggested comparing parameters between 2 of the 6t's I have. I read your post during the conversation and whipped out the electrical prints... sure enough "absolute exchange" switch #7.. Thank You very much!
