Can anyone help me change the RS232C communication channel? I tried to change from channel 4 which now is the memory card on 2 on the parameter 020 but when i strike insert after writing2 it says write protected...where can i go to enable the writing? i searched in the menus but...nothing...tried to change it in the MDI and Edit modes but one is write protected and the other says wrong mode....

Go to the Offset/Setting screen Press the settings soft key and you will see Parameter write enable (PWE) in MDI mode make this a 1
You will get a 100 alarm (No big deal it just wants you to know your parameters are open)
Once you have PWE on then make the necesary parameters changes. Then go back and turn off PWE.

thank you very much , i am able to change parameters now...but more help would be very apreciated...

the PUMA400 is set now for connecting to the memory card. i changed a few parameters to connect via rs232c to a pc...the cable is good 'cause i checked it first...and the pc is checked...what shoul i change and where to connect. i changed parameters 020 for channel from 4(mem card) to 2(rs232c channel2) and 0121,0122,0123 the last put on the baud rate on 10(not sure if it's good 'cause i tried to change it into 100 and appeared error: data out of range). what should i do to connect to pc on channel rs23dc second? thank you

By the way, on pc we use a program called SDNCII
