    Macro B Threadmilling on C-axis.

Anyone that got a macro for threadmilling with c-axis?? The macro needs to calculate x,c and z postions, no g2/g3 commands are allowed, but the use of G112 will work, tool compensation not necassary ..I ve tried to write one myself but it seems to be a bit messed up.

Strange, G2/G3 should work. What control do you have?

The control doesn't take G2/G3 it will make your job a lot harder, but you can use G1 use Sine and Cosine.
The best way to learn is trial error.

It is a fanuc 18I t, the problem is that it will not take the plane selection code during g112 mode. Mabe it is a option that arent turned on, anyway the machine cant create arcs in 2 axis while moving a third axis at the same time. (It cant decide in wich axis the arcs are)I could create the thread cutting in Cad/cam and have all the positions output but it will take most of machine memory and there will not be any way to compensate for tool radius.

SO a macro that could produce threadmilling would be useful.
