| Naaaaaa, if you willing to spend that kind of money to buy conversational programming I prefer CAD/CAM system. Cad/cam offer more flexible than CAPPS and it's a lot better than CAPPS.

| I have Bobcad/cam and i use it a little but not a lot. I thought the capps would be just like the machine code were as the bobcad differs some from my code. I still have not masterd bobcad yet,i'm still a little slow at it. Thanks |

| I use esprit too but CAPS is becoming much more powerful by adding a lot of user requested features. There is an offline version called MORI-AP that is a direct pull from the machine that will soon offer features like customizable post processors, DXF import and pocket ramping methods and such. You have to know how to get around in CAPS in order to see how powerful it really can be. Granted, on a mill it's a little limited in some cases but on live tooled lathes and integrated machines it really offers a lot. |
