    O-MD servos jumping battery alarm

My O-MD control is having problems out of the blue. When I start it up it boots up with no alarms, when I go to reference the axis, the servos jump all the way to the limits they slow down but do not zero out and I get an overtravel alarm. I checked the servo tuning screen, and a parameter on alarm row 3 says that the battery is low or zero. I have d cells that back up the memory board but nothing on the axis board or sevo amp. If I pull the batteries out and I can get Z and X axis to Zero out but not Y, and the servos are jumping all the way to the slow down. The jump in manual, and Jog? any help would be great
    Thanks

It almost sounds like you lost the batteries and along with it the parameters.
It appears to be servo run-away, they slow down because of probabally hitting the O.T. limits.
Check the parameters, hopefully you have a copy, also if you have a hardcopy print out you can compare many of them visually.

I have a list of most of the parameters, and they look like they are all there. The machine never gave a battery low alarm, it has in the past, and the batteries that came out looked good in a flashlight that I tried them in very bright. I know thats not a very scientific way of checking them, but it has worked in the past. I'll check the parameters again. Thank you for your reply
