Is it possible to threadmill with z,x and c axis during g112 mode? My machine wont let me choose the right plane, but I thougt that g112 automatically switched to G18 plane selection? Have any one tried thread milling with a similuar control? |

| on the Haas I type in G112 and G17 to engage the X Y Plane. I have never tried threadmilling with it so I cannot answer your question entirely. I'll double check tommorow but I think G18 cancels the G17 Plane so if you were typing that in would it not automatically cancel the X Y Plane??. Are you using Cutter Comp? if you are, have you tried not using it and offsetting your sizes 1/2 diameter of cutter. Will check tomorrow about the G17 G18. Cheers!!! |

| I dont got the Y axis, only C-axis. The G112 turns the milling cycle on and sets the plane to a preset value.(G17 or G18) Ive tried to do some thread milling but the machine dont know in wich axis to produce the arc.. I can produce a thread by milling it ,but then I cant use cutter comp. Mabe a macro could be the solution. |
