Just wondered if anyone has encountered this alarm before?
Alarm is on a Daewoo Puma 250 lathe, error description in manual is "NMI occured in other module" "NMI occured in a board other than the main CPU board"
My manual doesn't tell me much more than this???
NMI stands for "non mask interrupt" if that helps???
After powering the machine down and then back up again, I now also have a message 2096 Feed over-ride 0%, even though the machine's override switch is set to 100%.
If seen this before.
Depending if its a 18T or a 18iT control, use a ram card, or a flash ram card.
Start up while depressing the left to softkeys.
Backup, one by one all files at the section, backup files.
One file will not back up, this file is wrong.
Copy this file from an other machine with the same control, and the error is history.
Just thought I'd let you all know what caused this.
It ended up being a bad contact on one of the input comms cards (in our case it was an input comms card behind the operator panel). The bad connection was somehow causing the alarm???
A nice chap from Fanuc pointed me in the direction it was one of the input comms cards or optics comms.
