I've got a Fanuc OM controller and I keep getting error codes 401 and 414 (Velocity ready off, and X axis detect servo error) 414 error code leads to diagnostic 720 which reads 00010000 and Fanuc has told me that this is a high voltage condition. I have since purcased a new phase converter that is putting out 238,238,237 volts over all combos - still the alarm. So I go back to Fanuc and they say it must be my servo board so I buy a new one - still the alarm. I am out of money and out of time trying to fix this thing, if anyone has any ideas I would love to hear them. Thanks, Maxvic |

| That bit indicates high current, does it fault out immediatly? or when loaded or in rapid? Try running with the motor removed from the load, also try swopping motors if they are the same size. Al.

| Not sure if it would have caused an error or not, but... I still think it was a bit over cautious, but we just had Puma lathe /w Fanuc installed and the line voltage was around 230 and they refused to set it up untill we installed transformers to step it down between 208-220. It was claimed it could damage it and of course the seller would not honor warrenty if the voltage was not to spec. So $1300 later, it is running. For $200k+ you would think they could include a built in transformer to make it run on standard supplies for the country it is sold in. |

| This one could actually be a simple fix.....You will get these alarms if the amplifier in question has a cooling fan, and the fan has stopped working. Not all amplifiers have fans, but it would pay to check this before you go to too much trouble. regards, Oz |
