Hello, I am currently having a problem with a Fanuc OP-B controller hooked up to a Centrum 2000 2axis table used with a rofin-sinar laser cutter. The problem that i am having is overtravel errors in all directions of the axis, X+ and X- Y+ and Y-, as well as the overtravel in and out, overtravel left and right. Does anyone have information on why i am getting all these errors at once? Personally, I am under the impression that it is an I/O board error and needs to be replaced.
Any thoughts? We just bought this machine and I really dont know much about it. After a week of working great one of my employees decided to change out the fitting on the foot pedal that opens and closes the workholders, and did not turn off the power to the machine, and may have arced the 6+v that is running through one of the wires across the table of the machine. There are no fuses on the boards and no circuit breakers are blown.
You have most likely a blown fuse or tripped overload. It is also possible that a wire is disconnected due to the arcing. Even a blown board is possible. Look at the electrical diagram and trace the +24V circuits.
