Do you not have the 'partial' contour cycle (you say 'open-ended')?
DP
Hi, we have a new machine in our workshop (Not brand new but new to us).
Its a Bridgeport VMC 610XP2 with Fanuc 18i MB controller.
I was hoping the Manual Guide method of programming would be easier than it seems to be at the moment. I have figured out many basics but I am now struggling.
Before I go into details does anyone have any experience with the Manual Guide for programming a VMC/MILL? On first impressions it seemed a good way to start programming. Our Lathes have a Fanuc control which uses similar graphics to aid programming and seems easy to follow.
I have drilled holes, roughed pockets out but now want to rough a couple of open ended semi circular pockets at different depths but can not get anything to work correctly. I am trying using Contour Pocket within the Manual Guide. As far I can see from manual which I have been following all day things should have gone a lot better
Thanks, Paul.

Hi, I can't say I noticed that anywhere? I will look into that one.
The manual is a PDF document on the PC, I prefer good old paper ones, I find them friendlier to read when trying to get your head around something new.
Many thanks!
NEWBIE!--------
Hope i'm in the right place for this question!
I have two Toyoda CNCs with Fanuc 16i controls. Because of the time change, the time on the control is an hour behind. The importance of the time on the machine is because it is linked to a parts counter.
*****Does anyone know how to change it?*****

switch to MDI
press hard key SETTING
use page down until you see the time and date
move the cursor to the time and type the correct numbers and press input. repeat for hour/minute and/or date.
Thanks "fordav11"
FYI, I had to be in EDIT mode to be able to make the change!
