    Fanuc 16TTA on Nakamura TW-10 Error 972

Went to power up our nakamura tw-10 today and control will not boot it gets stuck on the initial screen and shows

    SYSTEM ALARM B103 - 18

972 NMI OCCURRED IN OTHER MODULE
    SLOT 03
    913 RAM PARITY : (4N+3) <SUB

i am wondering what to try, we had a ram parity error before and reloaded the entire system and it took about 6 month to get it up and running again. i am wondering lost or currupt parameters could causing the 972 error and if a complete re load will fix the machine. we have an rs232 backup but have lost the procedure to get this back in and going again. any help and or service manual for the 16T would be great its a 16-TTA control.

RAM Parity means you will have to clear the system and reload parameters (incl PMC parameters)
with a correct and complete backup of everything the system can be restored in just a few minutes.
follow this procedure as a starting point.....

Thanks, I am struggling to find any combination of IO channel and input device settings that will make the machine punch or read from the rs232 port

once the alarm is active you can't punch anything. only wipe everything and start from square one.
or do you mean you have cleared memory, entered option parameters/ powered off/on and now can't get the
    RS232 working?
