The 3 axes CNC bed type milling machine I have with the 15MA control I built has a place to install several linear scales. Again this is a machine that is very similar to the Mori Seiki MVJr, Leadwell MCV-550, etc. Is this a good idea? I have several Mitutoyo linear scales I could attach that appear to be the right physical length. Do I need the FSSB SDU1 or the Scale Interface Board A16B-1210-0860? I'm not having much problems with backlash. But I am also been using my Renishaw MP3 tool probe. If this works I will try it with the 16MB and possibly the 6MB2 control.  |
