Hi, Im getting myself a mid size cnc lathe fron China, I have the option of GSK controller or Fanuc oi mate TD controller, the fanuc being $3000 more. I have never used a CNC lathe before only a little cnc mill for engraving on Mack3. I have been told by someone that has a lathe with gsk and has used Fanuc, that gsk is simpler to use. The gsk seems to be all G code where the Fanuc seems to have more of a user interface. What would be the best for a beginner? Thanks Darren |

| Fanuc is the No.1 control for machine tools worldwide. you can't argue with millions and millions of controller sales. If you buy non-Fanuc (or at least an uncommon control) you are pretty much on your own to figure it out. Most people won't touch it and you WILL struggle. Buy Fanuc and you can hire anyone who has Fanuc experience to program/operate it or just ask here and dozens of people can help you and a few of them will even write the program for you. That kind of assistance has to be worth at least $3000 |
