We have a machine DMC 64V with Fanuc 16i controller and with the Renishaw measure sistem... I have no experience with measuring cycles. We have a sensor, but I have not ever worked with him. When I write for example: O1500 G2074 D50 H300 V300 L-200 R30 N0 M90 F500 P4 U54 A0 B0 K0.01 E0.1 ...Report me error "3143 Probe touched while appr.". What this mean? It is possible who on Internet found help for Measuring cycles for this mashine with this controller? Last edited by hartan; 12-20-2011 at 08:27 AM. |

G2074 D50 H300 V300 L-200 R30 N0 M90 F500 P4 U54 A0 B0 K0.01 E0.1 I don't understand the above code. Is it supposed to be 5 separate blocks, or one block as follows? G2074 D50 H300 V300 L-200 R30 N0 M90 F500 P4 U54 A0 B0 K0.01 E0.1 Renishaw use Custom Macro programs in conjunction with their measuring devices to interface with the control. That being the case, even the above one line block is wrong, as G, L, N, O, and P cannot be used in arguments. The G2074 would be legal as its not being used as an argument. Renishaw sensor are wired normally closed and use an open circuit to execute the skip signal. This is a bit of a fail safe in the event of a broken wire, and therefore an open circuit is detected as soon as the measuring Macro is executed. If you're getting the "Probe touched while appr." error almost immediately, then this could be the reason. However, I'm dubious that your code is correct, but I wouldn't have thought that this would cause the error that you're experiencing. Regards, Bill Last edited by angelw; 12-20-2011 at 03:56 AM. |

| Not having the sensor mounted would be sure to cause an error. As you're learning how to use this system, and accordingly, I assume is the reason you omitted the sensor, you can test the system by running the program with the sensor mounted and with the Rapid Traverse and Feed Rate controls set low, or use Dry Run mode to give you more control during testing. Also by setting bit 5 of parameter 6000 to 1 will allow Single Block mode to be effective in Macro statements. If you don't already know the Macro program that's called to execute the measuring cycle, check parameters 6050 to 6059 for to see which one contains the number 2074. The parameter containing 2074 will relate to a corresponding program number O9010 to O9019 and will be the program number of the Macro program called by G2074. Do you have the Renishaw operating manual? If not, I'd suggest you download a copy relating to the equipment you have as some of the arguments passed to the Macro program are important and need to be set correctly. Regards, Bill |

| I have tryed nov working with the sensor. When I measure in the JOG-mode, It works. I did the calibration with the Ring Gauge with known diameter. But I hawe problems with kalibration on Lenght. By Ball Diameter Calibration I enter Diameter of ring... If I calibrate length, I enter the lenght of the sensor (correction). But then I measure the height in Z axis does not get the right values ... |
