its just an overload. drill with slower feed and speed, replace drill with new one etc.
Hello, gantry machine, in the process of drilling, I have an alarm message 421 (SERVOALARM: nAXISEXCESSER (D))
parameters in 2078 = 1 2079 = 200
what causes the error?
Possible solutions?
its just an overload. drill with slower feed and speed, replace drill with new one etc.
some suggestions....
check lube oil is getting to moving parts (bed/leadscrew)
check bedways and/or check lead screw/bearings for damage
adjust gibb strips and/or adjust other things where there is friction and moving parts.
Crabbing of the gantry, if separate motors for each side of the column. Somewhat common on gantry/bridge mills. Check table tram, if it's out you probably slipped a coupling on one of the 2 axis.
I specify
column has a single motor
Fanuc spokesman advised to change the parameter 2118 = 0, on the machine in the parameter = 1000
what affect this value?

you said alarm 421(Z). so Z servo is overloaded? if yes that has nothing to do with the gantry loader
continue
on the recommendation of Fanuc parameter was changed in 2118 = 0, the error ceased to appear, the machine worked day without any problems
this morning, for unclear reasons, the machine was wringing drill during drilling, in an emergency log error 9031. after this case the Z-axis moves with a strong shake at low speed, occasionally accompanied by an error of 410
I suspect a problem with a counterbalance (hydraulic)
how to check?
421 AXIS EXCESS ERROR
Usually caused by mechanical error lub, ballscrew, gib fault etc
Or error with encoder/scale
I think possibly there is a separate detector / scale on this machine ?
and the difference between the scale and the position coder on the motor became too big.
Alarm 410 indicates the same things but in a stopped state

Who can tell how to switch from a linear axis tracking sensor to sensor motor?
