Does anyone have a complete sample program that explains the programming of a FMB Vario barfeed. It is connected to a Miyano BNC 20S. Due to room available the barfeed has only just been attached. I have been using the lathe for 3 years. Just slightly stuck on how to call and feed a bar to the stop and so on. Thanks Will |

| The barfeed is an old installation, it just hasn't been connected since I have owned it. The lathe manuel show a M83 to perfrom the top cut of a new bar and M85 will feed a bar to a stop. From what I can work out, you would have the top cut program and new bar in a sub program which the main program calls when needed? Completly unsure about this as I can't find an examples and ther are no programing examples in the boxes of manuels I have. This is what is shown for the top cut example - M83 = Material Feeder Start N1 T0100 G0 x0.0 z3.0 T0101 M17 M83 M18 G0 z5.0 G27 x0.00 T0000 N2 T0200 G96 s200 M3 Go x20 z0.00 T0202 M8 G01 x-1.0 F0.09 G0 x 12.0 Z50.0 M84 M84 = Block Delete OFF Reset M85 is the ANF material feed command and consists of: M17 - chuck chuck open M83 Material Feeder start M18 Chuck close. Just not sure on the correct program layout. Thanks Will |

| Then the baarfeed is only able to feed the bar and change it? If this is true the way is right, use a tool for stop the bar, then run the program the righ number of times, because you must discharge the end of the barUse subrogram or parametric or copy paste |

| The barfeed has a magazine. According to the FMB manuel (no example programs in it) Bar is loaded in to channel, bar is clamped and pusher bar with collet is pushed on to the end of the bar, once bar is used up pusher bar is retracted with bar remnant and clamped, remnant is ejected. New bar loaded from the magazine and the process starts again. Does the barfeeder perform this processor on its own when a end of bar signal is received or does this need to be part of the program? The more I try and work it out the more I get myself into a muddle! |
