Problem- External Program Start

Hello all,

I am designing a "hobby" cnc feeder,
I would like to start the program externally, without pushing the "green" program start button

Is there any way to start the NC code / program via digital / analog input to FANUC I/O card?

I am currently using FANUC oi tb / tc

the control has the capability but the external signals are optional. they are usually used with fully automated solutions like bar feeder and part ejection or robot loading/unloading etc. all optional stuff.

What is the name/code of that optional device/card?

it varies depending on what type of option is added. I don't have any specific part numbers and you can't just buy it and plug it in. there can be multiple pieces of hardware required and there are optional parameters that enable it and additional wiring.
