Need Help!- Tool changer problem Leadwell MCV-760 CR

Hi

Have a cnc- millingmachine, Leadwell MCV-760 CR with fanuc o-m control system.
I have a problem with the tool changer/magazine, I can only use 14 out of 24places.
When I try to call a tool higher than 14 I get an alarm code "1037 T.no not registered".

I don’t know exactly how it is going to be setup in your machine control but this is typically set on the PMC side of the control. There should be a tool table that you can set the tool and life of the tool there. If they are not set then you will get the alarm.

I have a leadwell VMC with Oi-MD control.
This has the Leadwell ATC software.

With this you can "unload tool" i.e leave certain pockets not available.
I have a large oversize slit saw (T19) and either side there are empty pockets (T18 and T20) are not available and would give an error if I called them.

On your MCV you might have to tell the software that tools 14 to 24 are loaded.

Don't know if your O-M MCV control is the same, but might be worth a try?

I agree with you, there should be a way to load and unload tools, the problem is that we dont know where to do it. We have spent some time going through the menus and we have found a tool library but there does not seem to be a way of loading/unloading tools there.
