Hi! I use Fanuc 15M in Hitachi HG400III. Looks like the timeout not set or set incorrectly during APC (Auto Pallete Change). During the M60 command executing, the system wait the palette position = 360, but because of mechanical damage the 360 degree not position exactly (359,9). If the timeout has been present, Alarm message may appears. But the CNC can be in this condition long long time. Can anybody help me to set timeout correctly? |

| we had a similar problem with our MH63 mill but our local Mori tech fixed it. the B Axis is not part of standard Fanuc parameters. Its controlled by the PMC. you need the manual that came with your machine or a manual for a similar spec'd machine (controller + options the same) then check the PMC parameters. I seem to remember there is one parameter that sets the B-origin. You should be able to find it by browsing through the list of parameters then just adjust it to suit your out-of-position B axis. I can probably get the parameter number from the machine at work but I doubt it will help you with your specific control since it's almost certain to be a different parameter number. you can also try adding before the M60..... G00 B360.0 |

| I checked the machine and got the parameter to re-set the b axis. Check parameter 1850 GRID SHIFT AND REFERENCE POSITION SHIFT FOR EACH AXIS It should have X Y Z and whatever your pallet table is, likely B. Maybe A and C as well if you have them. There is a number there like 11345. For XYZ its in microns with no decimal point. For B its in decimal degrees with no decimal point. First zero return the B axis then go to position and origin it (B 0 ORIGIN) Now clock up the table so it is square to the Z axis and/or locked into the 0 degrees position ready for pallet changing. On the POSITION screen B will not be zero now. Whatever number that is there in B you should put it in parameter 1850 in the B row. No decimal point. That should correct the table to 0 degrees AND be square to the Z axis when it does a zero return. 1850 is basically an offset for zero return for XYZABC axis. You may need to put a minus sign in front of the number depending on which way you moved the axis. |
