Hello All,
Is there a way to fix elongation in my circle interpolation on my mill? When I cut an internal circle it is out of round and I always have a little dwell mark @0,90,180 & 270. If anyone can help me out, I would greatly appreciate it.

The cause could be mechanical (lead screw error, backlash, slop in the gibs, etc), so first determine if there are mechanical issues.

Can I not fix the issue with backlash comp?

Verify that all of the acceleration/deceleration Time Constants are the same for both axis making the circle. Check parameters 1622 thou 1631

Checking the acc/dec param is good. Before using/changing backlash comp, lead screw error comp, reversal error comp and such, it is good to know the exact mechanical state of the machine., so I would turn the comps off and check first.
