Got a bit of a problem. Got a job that has 4 different boring heads, a pair made by Techniks, and a pair made by Kennametal. The only problem is that the cutting edges are oriented 90 deg between the two manufacturers. Is there a way to program the offset direction (other than changing the parameters) during a fine boring cycle on a Doosan DNM500 with a Fanuc OI-MC control. |

| Parameter 5101 bits 4 and 5 set the orientation angle for G76/G86. You could use Programmable Parameter Entry (G10L50) to set this parameter. NOTE: in the example below x=current value of 5101, so write down current value of 5101 before you execute this command. You only want to change bits 4 and 5. G10L50; N5101 Rxx11xxxx (SET BITS 4 AND 5 TO 1 FOR Y- SHIFT); G11; If 5101 is currently 10000010, and you want to set the shift direction to Y-, you would program G10L50; N5101 R10110010; G11; |
