Hello, I have a leblond makino baron 25 with fanuc 10t control. I have had used the serial port for over 7 years now. Once I had to change chips 1488 and 1489 due to a lighting, but that was over a year and the machine worked fine after that. Now it does not send or receive any data but it does recognize that the terminal is ready because it does not show the DATA READY SEND DOWN error and the screen flashes as if information is being sent or received. The port that I am using is the one that goes all the way to the mother board. I already put new chips and it is the same thing. I am thinking maybe there is another chip involved, but meanwhile I would like to know if I can just pull the cable connected to the motherboard and connect it to the port in the screen cabinet. Both says CDI. Any ideas? By the way, I already checked all the cables and the terminal emulator I am using is Teraterm. Thanks jolulank |

| I have changed ports where the MB socket has quit. If you need the RS232 Fanuc manual for the 10, pm me an email add. Al.
