Need Help!- Fanuc Language Help

Hello Gentleman,
I need help with my 18t controller.First i got a 971 code error and tracked it to the main cpu board. I bought a new board assuming it had the modules on it and it did not.i put all the new modules on the new board and it wouldn't even start. So I put the old board back in and now the language is in Chinese. Anyone know how to change the language?And I think the RAM is bad.

Where do I find out if it's a,b,or c?

Press SYSTEM key and get first screen: SYSTEM CONFIG SLOT.
Look for slot 00 xxXX: 40.
We want to know those four “xxXX” letters/numbers. XX are the crucial ones:

16A 3E
18A-60
16B-90, 9C, B2,B7, B0
18B-AD. AE
16C-B9, BA
18C-BD
21B-B3

I can't get to the screen it errors out in chinese

OK. what is parameter 9924?
also, parameter 3103 bit 3 is for Chinese; set to zero.

Well I cannot get to the parameter screen on this machine because the memory went bad and I have Fanuc coming to repair this Tuesday .OUCH($$$$$)

If you don't have a backup or your nc and pc parameters (a BOOT backup is best) then Fanuc is not going to help you much; if you DO have the backup, you don't need Fanuc.

I have the disc that came with the machine.how do I test the ram and modules to find out what is bad?

Well the service tech from fanuc says he can't fix the 971 alarm after spending 6 hours working on it! It is in English but won't start when I try to turn on the machine,the control starts up but when I try to power up the machine it errors out in 971.Any ideas?
