Can't Write Parameters Fanuc O-TT

Hi everyone, I've looked around here for info a few times and found this site very helpful but I'm really stuck and finally need to put up my first post. I have 3 Wasino SS-8 lathes with Fanuc O-TT controls. They have left and right memory for whatever side I'm using to cut. Tonight we a had a lightning storm while I was trying to send a program over to the left side and the power flickered causing a P/S 101 alarm. From info I've read, I'm supposed to change the PWE to 1, turn the power off and power up while pressing the delete button. I tried this many times and it would not reset the memory. Just kept the programs there and flashing the 101 alarm. Knowing I had the parameters backed up on the computer and 2 other of the same machines, I started it up and held the reset key while holding the delete key and this did work. I set parameter 38 first and it took. Then I wanted to start putting in the 900 parameters like mentioned somewhere here or on another site but every time I hit input, instead of inputting the numbers, it just stays all 0s. I just can't get the parameters to write. When I put the switch to Left, Right, or Robot, only Left, and Robot lights will come on which both work off the left memory. The right one won't light up. Is it possible something may have got damaged in the storm? Please help! Any suggestions would be helpful!

hope this helps

took this from the fanuc manual:

Alarm 101-please clear memory:

The power turned off while rewriting the memory by program edit operation.
If this alarm has occurred, press <RESET> while pressing
<PROG>, and only the program being edited will be deleted.
Register the deleted program.

be very careful when working with the parameters, just because you've got a similar machine does not mean all the the parameters will be identical

And you are in MDI?

I never tried that but I have a Fanuc O Manual at home and it said for the P/S 101 alarm to press <delete> while starting the machine after setting the PWE to 1. I probably should have waited for some input from other people before wiping out everything. I think I have all the settings for that particular machine backed up but if not, Everything except backlash should be the same if the machines are identical, no? If not, which ones do I really need to be concerned about?
Thanks,
Kevin

The machine actually seems to be stuck in MDI. It doesn't matter where I put the switch, it never leaves MDI. I have tried with E-stop out and in. Doesn't really make sense to me why the machine will take an input for Parameter 38 but seems to ignore anything I try to put in the 900's. I am still fairly new to messing around with this stuff so hopefully what doesn't make sense to me will make sense to someone else. It was brought to my attention today that it may be possible it's not picking up that the E-stop is in as it may have been set up through the ladder diagram which is no longer there.

Thanks,
Kevin

That may be a clue, as the Function switch is input to the ladder, it may be reading MDI by the default inputs.
If you don't see the function change on the bottom of the screen this is a major clue that the ladder is either missing or not running.

safest way is to put a backed up copy back into the machine, there are thousands there. Referance positions, orientation, ,,,,,the list goes on. I will keep looking for more info. Hard lesson to learn!!!!

Here is what I found. Cannot enter the option (900~939) params, or the diagnostics. All regular params were entered in the normal way. This is a o-ttc control on a Techno Wasino SS-8. Customer has 3 identical machines and we can change all params and diagnostics on the other machines.
Does any one know the procedure?
memoryman.

finally the problem was resolved: remove the sub-cpu board, enter the option params, put the sub-cpu board back, restore all params.
