Angry Fanuc 10TF Eprom Damaged

Hi everyone,

Currently, I am fixing a Mondiale M-600 Turning CNC machine. The main problem i have encountered is that one of the EEPROM ICs is missing or more precisely damaged cause it was inserted in the wrong orientation when it was served a couple of years ago.

I have tried to start the controller while pressing "7"&"9" keys and completed the procedure. The IPL mode appeared again declaring that there is a problem described by the alarm:

"Servo rom test: error"

I cann't find a turn around solution for this problem since i do not find it in the maintenance manual, but i suspect it to has something to do with this EEPROM IC.

Kindly, can anyone help me by providing the full bunch of the EEPROM ICs found in this controller which i "Believe" they were programmed by the Machine manufacturer and not by FANUC?

Main Board: A16B-1010-0320/05A
IC location: 402

Thanks in advance.

Yazamo

1: please provide the country where you are located (time zone, language)
2: the servo eprom is programmed by Fanuc and it has the version printed on it, as are the software ones. Only the ladder eproms are provided by the MTB.
3: I will see if we have this specific eprom on Monday and let you know.

Dear MemoryMan,

Thanks a lot for your reply. I am currently in Jordan. From your reply, it seems that we are talking about a Servo Eeprom IC; and that makes me wrong in the sense that this IC is Fanuc Programmed rather than being a MTB as you have made clear to me.

Regarding the Software version, Please consider the following:

IC Type: MBM27256-25
Numbers written on the Label of this IC are:
0100
0106

Should i expect solving the problem by having this IC?

Waiting for your kind reply.

All the Best,

Yazmo

I will look tomorrow for more information on this. Servo eproms are usually supplied by Fanuc; we may have them.
"I have tried to start the controller while pressing "7"&"9" keys and completed the procedure" you lost all parameters by doing this (was not necessary). you have all the parameters backed up? cnc and pc?

Our control is a different model, so we don't have these eproms and we can't help you. Contact tpeloski@naindustrial.com; they can help you.
Good luck.
