| I have never worked with a Fanuc that had the PC embedded in the monitor. Our KOMO CNC router hard drive went out on the onboard pc. My question is can the Fanuc run without the PC? And if so How do you bypass the PC? Fanuc CNC A16B-3200-0491/02A "OiB" Thanks |

| That depends on witch embedded one it is. If it used the fanuc software on the PC, with standard fanuc screens, I haven't found a way to do it. There wasn't much to re-load in the PC if it is. All you needed was the operating system (2K, Xp) and load the fanuc software. It should find the node for the HSSB, it will show up as a little motor icon in the right lower tray. Once it finds that it should be able to load the screen viewer. All the program data is stored on the control, as well as parameters. |

It is a KOMO CNC Router and we are getting a new cloned hard drive from OEM. Talking to a local tech. he says this particular set up requires the windows operating system for Faunc to run, no way around it. Thanks |
