Hitachi Seiki VA55 MK2

Hi all, we have an Hitachi Seiki VA 55 MK2, Fanuc 11MF control, lost memory , no paperwork at all. We need CNC parameters, PMC parameters also possibly ATC macros.

Is that because your BMU crapped out?

Hi Bill, your are correct in your guess, the BMU was not in the machine when I got there, I can probably get it back though. Any suggestions?

Did you ever resolve this issue?

I have access to a VA-55, but I am not sure what a MK II is. I would guess this means it is a second generation, or issue, beyond what we have.

Info for machine I have access to:

Hitachi VA-55
Fanuc 11MA control
Fanuc PC-I PMC (this does NOT have a Micon controller on it)
Hard Electrical Drawings Version 2676-0110 (1985-2-22)
Soft Electrical Drawings Version 2676-A01C (1985-3-6)

If it is of any use, I may be able to help.

Hi there, I did find another VA55MK2 but I have not been able to travel to it yet. 3 hrs or so.
I would really appreciate some help.
This is for a friend that has a machine tool he bought from a dealer about 5 years ago.
No parameters of any kind.
The mark 2 is just you described, instead of micon sequencer it has a yellow casette on the fanuc masterboard.
We need the CNC parameters, PMC parameters and possibly if there are 9XXX programs for the tool changer.
This would be really great, either email me : hibernianmachinetool@gmail.com or 978-660-0332

This is a shot of the main control panel. If the machine your working on at least appears the same, there might be a shot they did not change a whole lot. Like I said, this machine is NOT a MKII, but I could supply you with all the parameters I have.

Hello again, if this is not the exact configuration. It very close with the Yellow cassette.
I would really appreciate a copy of the CNC parameters and the PMC parameters.
I will tell the owner we will have to reimburese you for your help.

Email sent with what I have. If I can be of any further assistance, please feel free to continue this thread so all may share in any knowledge.

The only reimbursement necessary is to hear you have your machine running...
