086 is DR SIGNAL DOWN. Check the resistance between pins 6, 8, and 20 on the CNC end of the cable. All 3 should be jumped together.

Hi, perhaps a different solution:
how can I activate the second, unused interface? M74 connector (instead of M5) on the Mem- board. The parameters 0002, 0038, 0050, 0552/0553, I've adjusted, however, the I / O port. No success, nothing, no Alarm. No function...
Can i use this Port, the second interface? Or is unsuitable for PC connection and supports read-only devices as punchers and readers?
Greetings,
Tom
(Excuse my bad english, ist comes from G....e)

par 914 bit4 enables reader/puncher interface 2
You may have to replace the 75188 or 75189 chips on the memory board.
If you tell me the memory board part number I will tell you the locations.

Hello Memoryman,
i have found the two 75188/89 on the Board. At first, i will check if interface 2 is possible to use.
Many thanks for this Parameter, i had not seen yet.
Greetings,
Tom

Hi,
after I had changed the parameters of 0914 / 4, a little bit of communication is there. My program says "Hardware detected a framing error" or "Hardware detect a parity error". Another software receives the data, but that's not the right format...
Something does not seem to agree, data is being sent, but the PC shows only trash. 0002/0012/0038/0050/0553 and 0914 with parameters are all adjusted, 7 Bits,2 Stops, Even. Does anyone have any idea? Have i forgotton a parameter? It certainly seems as if broken, the first port, but what I must do in order to use the second port can?
At the first port I had used the (easy) Three-wire communication cable, it may be that I need the second port of a more wires?
Greetings,
Tom

I forgot to mention, parameter 901 bit 6 is the option for port 1.
914 bit 4 is for port 2.
Send me a parameter file and I will tell you what the problem may be (could be on the memory board). Also, is the SETTING for ISO/EIA correct?

In the moment I can`t upload a current file... 0901 / 6 was set originally, so it went with the Port 1 to 4 weeks.
Since the second port is not used, I would like to take the place of the defective first.
Later i will replace the 75188/75189, but first I want use the other port, if possible.
Is it possible to set both ports (901 and 914) to be active, or is only one at the same time?
I send you tomorrow a file.
Best Regards, Tom
