| "Why not make your first post today by saying hello to our community in our CNCzone Club House forum. " Well, Here I am; Hallo! First, sorry for my poor english, my mother-tongue is Italian and its even worst than my english... Anyway, I'm an engineer (27), no experience, intrested on what's going on in this website. I decided to begin with my biggest challange: During trasportation, we somehow, lost our controller. It was a RJ fom FANUC, and now I have a 37kg paperweight beside my desk (the robot). I asked fanucRobotics and they said a new controller is going to cost about 25-30 k$, and i coud purchase a whole new one for less. I've been able to understand that encoders from FANUC are keyed, so no chance to control it with third party hardwere (which I coudn't find), nor even troutgh a CANopen system (complicated anyway). What is your opinion? Sale it? whole or spare parts? Any suggestion on where to look for make it move again? Thanks guys! |

| No Idea! The only thing I know is that the robot was built in 1994 and for this reason FanucRobotics says it has been controlled by a rj and not rj-2. by saing "exact moldel" you mean fe Fanuc spere code? how do I understand the exact model of something that is gone? ![]() |
