Complete newbie to this please forgive any ignorance ![]() Can lay my hands on the above lathe with a hydraulic bar feeder. On start up it runs through a test sequence on screen and the stops on a not ready prompt. Was fully working when a friend purchased the machine and after transporting it to his places it gives the error. After checking he found the Hydraulic pack not starting on start up, so no hydraulic pressure and just maybe the reason for the not ready signal. Previous owner came to have a look and confirmed the hydraulic pack not starting up an that it might be the cause. Its two years later and my friend lost interest in the machine(not even trying to get it running) now I might be able to acquire the lathe. Its in fairly good condition. My Questions............... How to program this machine. Does it still use punch tape ........can this be changed to a more modern way, maybe directly from a PC. I do have a cad/cam software package. Any help appreciated Thanks Deon |

| 1: the "not ready" message is probably caused by not having hudraulics. 2: that control can have a maximum of 512k of memory 3: if it has tape mode than a BTR (Behind Tape Reader) can give you effective drip feeding from a computer. |
