    Fanuc O-MC 946 System Alarm!

    Hello,

    I inadvertently turned option parameter on that says I have a second spindle which I don't and am now stuck with a 946 System Alarm which I cannot get past to change the parameter back to a 0.

    Please anyone help!!

    maybe you could try to power up in e-stop and then change the parameter?

    E-Stop Re-Start

    I've tried that and it still comes up in alarm state and none of the controls function.

    Unfortunately you have to clear the parameter memory and then input the correct parameters.

    Press and hold RESET while you turn the control power on.

    If you press and hold RESET and DELETE then ALL memory will be cleared. Includes program memory.

    You will have to input parameters manually or reload from the backup (hopefully you have this!?) on your PC. That will include PC Parameters (DIAGNOSTICS).

    doubtful, but you *might* want to try unplugging a servo amp or something important that might flag another alarm before it tries initializing the subspindle...probably wont work, but at this point, shouldnt hurt to try...all clear is usually a last resort. if you unplug a encoder, a disconnect alarm might be flagged even before the spindle loads, giving you access to the screens...doubtful, but worth a try.

    RESET and DELETE only clears program memory.
    CAN and DELETE clears parameters.
    0 (number zero) and DELETE will clear all memory.

    @perfpro
    What you are indicating is correct for FS-6T/M and FS-0PC
