10T PM9117 software or hardware? | | Hey all. I hope someone can help me.
I have been trying to activate parameter 9117(Cylindrical interpolation) on my 10T controller. I have followed instructions given to me, which are the same instructions as Stevo gave in this post: http://www.cnczone.com/forums/fanuc/..._upload-3.html
To enter in option parameters
1) Power up machine with "-" minus and "." decimal point depressed
2) Key "99" and "Input"
3) Key in "3" or whatever # axes in parameter 9000 @ "AXIS" prompt
4) Step through options by number and key new Hexidecimal codes and "input"
option 1=9100, option 2=9101 ect. Just push input if no change is required
5) If "clear files" appears, hit "Y" - will erase programs etc.
6) When 1st menu appears, key "6" and "enter"

When I restart the machine and check the parameter it has changed to the proper parameter 01000000 for cylindrical interpolation, but when I try to use G7.1 for this function I still get the same alarm code (PS010 Improper G-code) as I have been getting all along.
Primarily I need to know if this is a software or hardware problem?
If it's software then am I doing something wrong or is there some procedure I still need to do to activate this option?
All help is greatly appreciated.
