we are looking at doing machine optamization and tuning on machines with 16i to 30i and 0i-a5 controls. my problem is that makino and mitsui sieki does this prior to selling a machine however mori, doosan, kiwa, sharp and many more do not. and as we all know there are major price differences between a mitsui sieki and a mori. the medium tear builders are simply entering the motor code and letting it set many parameters automaticly and if you look at your servo parameters you can tell right away. while this works for 90% of applications we want to machine with a mori the way we do with a makino or mitsui sieki. has anyone been doing this and does the servo guide software help? we want to decrease acc/ dec times smooth cornering and have more stability at feedrates of 600 inches per minute and more. we are looking for highly accurate solutions with high speed applications primarly in aluminum and titanium machining applications on horizontal machining centers. |
