Hi experts :-) At my work we have some issues regarding the cylindrical interpolation on our Gildemeister turning lathe. We have tried to figure it out using various examples, from the internet and from the supplied Fanuc manual. But it won't function correctly. The problem occours when we get a line where the tool/lathe has to do a radius/arc. It then comes up with an alarm saying either 009 or 021 Wrong plane selected. And we use G18, but have also tried to switch to G17/G19 without success obviously. But if we remove the R-movement/the arc's, for example R30 (we use Millimeters) It does machine all the straight lines around the cylinder. But whenever it has to do an arc, it goes into an alarm. I'm thinking it's like it doesn't use the G07.1/G107 function correctly. Unfortunately I don't have the program with me here, so can't put it up at the moment. But I'm hoping some of you clever folks have got an idea about why that happens. Thanks The Dane - Soren |

We actually tried that exact example, believe you suggested the same example to another user on here, which were the thread I got it from :-) But unfortunately the example does work some what, but when we get to the arc in the "J", it comes with the alarm 009 or 021 wrong plane selected. So it has something to do with the arc/R thingy... Will try and se if I can get the programs we have tried put up here. Thanks for your help Soren |
