Need Help!- 18T Chuck Control

I'm setting up our machine with a Bar Puller, and need to use the M10 & M11 Codes on our 18T Control, to open and close our chuck. 2 questions. What parameter needs to be changed to allow this M code to function? Then we had a problem changing the parameters. How do you change this parameter, what mode do you have to be in, to allow this change these parameters.

Its not that common for a lathe not to have M functions available for chuck open and close. Are M10 and M11 the nominated M codes for the chuck open/close function of your machine, or are you assuming that they are and you've found they don't work? The M codes for various miscellaneous functions are at the discretion of the machine builder and M10/M11 may not necessarily be the codes for this function on your machine.
