    Absolute position getting reset

    We are having Mitsu Seiki VMC with Fanuc 6M Control

    Machine Absolute Value getting reset during reset the Program in Auto mode. it seems to be a Parameter Problem. any body can help us.

    Post your code where it keeps getting rest so we can take a look at it. There can be many things in the code causing this. Most are setup to reset when G28 is programmed or it could be done in a sub with a tool call. These are just a few exapmles.

    Manual Absolute

    L. Sakthivel,

    I would check the state of the "Manual Absolute" function. It is usually, but not always, controlled by a toggle switch. In one position "Reset" will change the Absolute position. In the other position, it will not.

    Many many people have scrapped parts or crashed their machines by having this switch in the wrong position.
