Need Help! DNC with pcmcia card - CNCzone.com-The Largest Machinist Community on the net!

I would like to run a large program on my 16i Mill that will not fit into memory. I have been told that you can set the I/O to 5 and use the DNC. Does this use the PCMCIA card that plugs into the slot on the left side of the screen. Is this an option I need Fanuc to turn on? Any help would be great.

Set the I/O to 4 for the card. Instructions attached.

Be sure to leave the extension card in the cnc machine and only remove the CF card. We have had several Fanuc PCMCIA backplanes damaged. They are expensive compared to the extension cards
