hi friends, needs your help to write some sample programs for new fanuc oi-tc lathe. i need to tap 3/8-24 tap to 27 mm legth. i using g99 mode in my lathe . please help me to write the proper programming lines using gcodes of g 84, m29, or any other codes. using right hand tap. i tried to use G32 code,but the tap broken very fast. the material to be cut is S31603, S416 with 38to 40 HRC.   |

| Friends.. G32 is for threading... not for tapping You must use G84 or G88 for tapping Format for tapping similiar with drilling T0404 G97 S350 M3 G0 Z20. X0. Z2. M8 G84 R1. G84 Z-65. F.... ( feeding is pitch ) base on you use G99 G0 Z2. M9 G28 U0.W0 M5 Thnaks |
