G73 is used to rough a uniform contour of a known thickness. G73 U___ W___ (U is amount of stock in X, W is amount of stock in Z) R is how many passes you are going to remove this with, assuming 8 mm for U and W you might choose R3 G73 P(start)Q(end) U(finish allowance x)W(finish allowance z)F(feed) is all you need..You need to start the cycle from a place where any return moves will not crash through your work..Hope that helps.. |

| You still haven't stated the model of the Fanuc control. If the control is pre "O" series, the G73 cycle command will be a one block designation with different addresses used to set various parameters. Regards, Bill |
