Do you have RMT on your rotary switch, also where jog / ref etc. etc. is?
otherwise most times you can set a diag bit, for drip feed.
but does the fanuc have a PCMCIA port on front???
Hi Everyone ,
I need some help running dnc on my new leadwell V-30. I pretty much am having the same problem as everyone else not being able to find out how to activate the dnc. The controller is a Fanuc 21-M with no TAPE button on it. I know that this machine can do it , because the last owner did, but apparently doesn't remember how. I can send and receive no prob but can't drip feed.
Can anyone help.
Thanks '
Danny

Nope , no RTM switch or TAPE switch , No card in the front of the panel either , just the rs232 in the back of the machine. Apparently i have to change some parameters to be able to run it DNC. What is a diag bit ?
diag bit = diagnose bit
you could try this
To set the CNC up for drip feed:
Parameter Value
0135 00000001
1803 00000000
To set "Tape mode" on.
Send the program from the computer, then press Cycle Start on the Fanuc.
To pause dripfeed, turn the Feedrate override to 0%.
Danny,
I don't know if this applies in your case, but I recently ran into a machine (Femco, I believe) that had DNC mode switch hidden in the Software Operator's Panel.
If you go to OFFSET/SETTING, then press the > key until you see [OPR] and press that, you might find it there. Page down may reveal more switches. No guarantees...
