mazak v-5 w/fanuc 6m control nc fuse light??

ok here goes anyone out there w/a fanuc 6m controller on a mazak v-5

on mine there are a row of malfunction lights on the front panel

the first one is labeled "nc fuse" when I turn the control on (front button after side breaker" it powers up fine and then after 20 or so minutes the screen turns off and the nc fuse light comes on.

this used to be a rare intermittent problen that came up about once a month, but today it decided to start faulting every 10 to 20 minutes.

the operators manual has this to say "nc fuse alarm" alarm for nc fuse blown out- the display lamp lights if the fuse is blown out-check whether the nc fuse is blown out. if the fuse is not blown out, there is some trouble in the unit.

h btw yes I did check all the fuses in the nc cabinet, and for that matter every fuse I could find on the whole friggen machine. no luck.

anyway, if one of you has come across this problem your help and experience will be greatly appreciated thanks in advance.

Do you have a print that shows exacly what the indicator light is monitoring? One thing I would check to see if the DC power supply is OK. It is usually mounted close to the Main board.

thanks al one of my other gurus already rescued me

the power supply voltage was 4.8 and needed to be turned up to 5.2
works like a charm now.

well so far anyway :fingerscrossed:
