Hi all, I have a Shoda router with a Fanuc 11m control. I have been tasked to add an M function that will trigger a Miller Mig Welder. I have dug around in the cabinet, but would love some advice, and if you guys have wiring diagrams, photo's etc...that would be awsome. |

| Unfortunately you have to modify the ladder (PMC). Unless you have an M function that is already programmed and not being used. Al.

| Traditionally Fanuc supplied a FAPT portable 'suitcase' computer that had the ability to write/edit the ladder and burn the eproms, the 10/11 commonly has a eprom cassette on one of the system cards, when the system boots up, it takes the ladder off the cassette and loads into memory before running the ladder. I don't know if Fanuc has any PC based program for the 10/11. Unfortunately they did not follow Mitsubishi's lead where you could edit and program on line. When the part program sees a M,S,T code etc, it is passed over to the ladder for processing, as mentioned, if the M code needs confirmation, then the program halts until the process issues a FIN(ish) signal back to the CNC side. Al.
